Latasha Brown-Baird

Latasha is the lead counselor within the practice and has been given a gift from God to serve others who are experiencing emotional, behavioral, or mental challenges in their lives.  She is driven by her passion to help others as she recognizes that the stigma of mental and behavioral health issues prevent many people from receiving treatment.  As a caring and concerned counselor, Latasha has touched the lives of thousands of people.  She believes in treating individuals with dignity and respect regardless of their socioeconomic status or background.

Latasha received a Master of Education degree in Agency Counseling & Development in May 1994 from Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology in December 1992 from University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC.

Latasha holds several licenses. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in NC, a Licensed Professional Counselor in SC, and a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor in SC & NC.

Latasha is an accredited “Triple P” Practitioner (Positive Parenting Program)

Latasha has been providing professional, clinical services for 20+ years.

Tamikya Staley

Tamikya Staley is from Wagner, SC. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor.  This license (#6503) was issued on January 3, 2017.  Prior to becoming fully licensed, Ms. Staley was a provisional Licensed Professional Counselor-Intern, January 9, 2015, and received clinical supervision by Latasha Baird and Sherita Davis.  She received her Bachelor degree in Psychology from Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC in 2005 and her Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Webster University in Columbia, SC in 2011. Tamikya has worked in the Mental Health field since 2005 and has served the adolescent and adult population. She has provided services in residential, home and community settings. She has gained a reputation for her ability to establish a strong, therapeutic rapport with her clients. Tamikya has received training in Trauma Informed Care and is currently working toward certification in Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

Tamikya’s experience includes providing intensive residential treatment to males and females, ages 12-21, who present significant needs related to psychiatric disorders and compulsive/offensive sexual behaviors. She has also served adults presenting with needs related to psychiatric disorders. Clinical issues have included Behavioral problems, Sexual, Physical and Emotional abuse, Depression, Mood Disorder, Anxiety, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Separation Anxiety, Family Issues, Conduct Disorder and School-related problems.

Anita Durr

Anita Durr holds both a Master of Science (MS) and Educational Specialist (EdS) Degree(s) in Counseling and Educational Development from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro.  She is a Licensed School Counselor in both NC and SC and a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (#A11639) for the state of North Carolina.  Over the past ten years, she has provided counseling to clients from adolescence to midlife with diverse backgrounds and life experiences.  She has experience in both individual, family, and group counseling and views counseling as a collaborative process where she works with clients to identify and achieve therapeutic goals that promote optimal mental health.  Issues with which she most commonly works include:  life transitions, self-esteem, relationship issues, anxiety, depression, anger management, grief and loss, sexual abuse, and career exploration.

Her approach to counseling is an eclectic one.  She uses a combination of theoretical methods including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered, and Solution Focused Therapy to empower individuals to overcome personal obstacles to improve themselves and their relationships.  As a counselor, she strives to build rapport with each client to facilitate personal growth and insight.
